My School Carnival

I went to my school carnival on the 29th of October. Mummy was going to sell mouth-watering fishballs and delicious fried bee hoon in the canteen. The carnival was called "A Rainbow of Colours". After reporting at my class at 8.45am, we started the fantasic carnival! Rachael, my best friend, went with me as usual. We were both apparently in seventh heaven. Alethea, another one of my best friends, was having her violin exam so she could not come with us for a few hours :(
My sister taking a train ride with my parents.
Rachael and I rattled on like a machine gun while our arms gestured wildly. We then went to ride on the slow ferris wheel and a very boring spinning ride that even my sister dared to take. At 11 o'clock, we went to the canteen to help Mummy sell fishballs around our gigantic school. I held the small tray of yummy fishballs, while Rachael was in charge of collecting the tokens from people who bought our big fishballs. After one hour of hard work selling fishballs, we went to meet Alethea at the huge canteen. After eating lunch, Alethea, Rachael and I then went to ride some more rides.
Timid Rachael did not even dare to ride a single ride that we took! Alethea and I took 3 rides - a "sky-spinner", some sort of car ride and a teacup ride. We also played little games to earn tokens. If we had enough tokens, we could also redeem prizes like stuffed toys.

The bears we won!!
I won a humongous brown bear. Very soon, I needed to go home. This school carnival was one of my happiest days in the year.

Forest Adventure

I went to Forest Adventure at Bedok Reservoir for my school field trip on the 20th of October. Although it was only a 2 hours trip, it was very fun.

When I reached Forest Adventure, my mind was whirling with excitement while chatting nineteen to the dozen with my best friend. The day had dawned crystal clear and cheery. After queuing up to wear the harness, we started the tree-top challenge!

My class went for the kids course. Some parts of the challenge were tricky, though most of them were actually quite easy. My favourite part of the challenge was the zip-line. It was exactly like a flying fox. I fastened the harness onto another rope and pushed myself off the little area to stand. The zip-line was fast and swift while my legs dangled in mid-air. I landed on the sand-pit at the bottom of the zip-line and sand went inside my shoes.

After a short rest, we needed to walk all the way to where the bus was. While walking, it began to pour as if a river had been let loose. As we all did not bring umbrellas, we had to run as fast as our legs could carry us another 150 metres to where the bus was. We were all drenched when we reached the bus! We finally sat on the bus and went back to school. It was a tiring but wonderful day.

A Day With My Friends

On Monday, two of my best friends, Alethea and Rachael, came to my house for a short while after our ballet class. We talked about everything under the sun as we walked to my house in high sprits.

My friends and I then ate mouth-watering macaroni while telling each other to have good table manners. After that, we felt tired and lethargic so we rested on my bed for a long while. When all of us recharged, we played the"game of life". It was fun and exciting as each of us took turns in spinning the spinner and taking new life tiles.

Very soon, Alethea's mother came to pick her up. She waved goodbye reluctantly and went back to her own house.

But, Rachael was still going to stay for another one and a half hours. We did nothing but sat on my desk and chatted nineteen to the dozen.

As the seconds ticked by, Rachael soon had to go home too. Rachael and I said bye to each other sadly and thought about our lovely day.

An Immensely Fun Day!

Last Thursday was a fun and joyful day for me. At 1.30p.m, Rachael, my best friend came to my house for a short play date. We chatted, threw Angry Birds at each other and did very babyish stuff with my little sister.

Then at 3.15p.m, we took a brisk walk to another of my friend's house for a party which was a stone's throw away. The party was at the function room which was extremely small.

At the party, we played pass-the-parcel and two treasure hunt games. Each one of us won many prizes! Then, we went to the playground. We played there for very long! When we went back to the function room, a magnificent 3-tier cake was on the table. The cake was pink, blue and green and had chocolate sprinkles sprinkled all over. After we sang the "Happy birthday song", the birthday girl made a wish and blew out the candles with all her might.

Soon, my best friend and I had to go home. We said goodbye reluctantly and went home in seventh heaven thinking about this wonderful day.

Marvellous Musical!

Two Fridays ago, I went to my school's musical with Mummy. 2 of my friends were in the main cast. The first part was splendid, and the second part was even more brilliant! My friends sang so nicely that I was mesmerised. Mummy was fascinated too. I could not believe that my friends could sing so beautifully, so I made up my mind to tease her on Monday.

During the intermission, I played with my friends and bought some musical merchandise from my form teacher. My friends and I chatted about loads of things in school.

After the musical, I left the hall in an exhilarated mood and walked home with Mummy in high spirits.

Grossest Art and Craft Ever!

Last week, we started a mountain glitter globe craft. It turned to be a disaster as we used a bad type of clay and used extremely horrible acrylic paint that is not waterproof.

First, we got a glass jar and bought a packet of white clay and glitter in the shapes of moons, suns and stars.
Second, we used the white clay to mould a pair of mountains. Third, we stuck the mountain to the glass jar's cap using super glue. Then, we painted a green, snow capped mountain and added water to the glass jar.

The mountains I created and painted

After that, we sprinkled the glitter into the transparent jar.
Lastly, we screwed on the cap, turned the globe around and the mountain glitter globe is done!

Unfortunately, our acrylic paint was not waterproof and when we turned our globe around, all the green paint came out.

The water became very cloudy. Even grosser, the clay mountain became extremely slimy and disgusting. It was so slippery that it would slip off your hand if you hold it.

Compared to the other crafts we did, this was the grossest craft that we did!

My 9th Birthday Party

My birthday party was the best day of the year! I invited more than 20 friends, because I wanted a lot of presents, though most of them will be recycled. :(  At first, I was quite worried as it was raining cats and dogs, and if all my friends will be late for my party. To my surprise, many of my friends came early, but Rachael, my best friend, came at 1.50pm! :o

I brought Nibbles, my white hamster. It entertained everybody by running up and down its enormous, yellow cage. As not many of them own hamsters as pets, all their eyes were fixed on the little, white furball.

Soon, more and more of my friends arrived. When they all came, we started a game called "Balloon Fight". Each of us tried to make other people drop their balloons so we could get more balloons to fight with. We take our balloons and hit each other.

When the magician came, they were quite shocked to see us so fierce! Soon, everyone settled down and sat on the floor.

The first half an hour was the magic workshop. The magic workshop taught us how to do magic. Unfortunately, the magic tricks were quite lame. As most of my friends were also feeling bored, they went up and took food while the magician was still teaching us tricks! :I

Finally, the intensely boring magician left and another magician came. Nobody even left the mesmerising show and took food when he did his amazing tricks! During the first part of his show, he made two doves with feathers as white as snow fly around the room. Some of his coolest tricks were: he put a small canary bird on his shoulder and when he broke a plastic egg, the bird came out from the egg! The second best trick was when he put a two-dollar note in a transparent box, shook the box and about 10 more 2-dollar notes came out. How my friends would love to learn that trick! $ (The notes were real)

The third trick was when he took a white dove in his hand, let it fly up and then the little dove turned into paper! The last trick he did was that he asked me to go up on stage. He then put a stuffed toy rabbit in a transparent container, and asked me to cover the rabbit with a cap. Then I took up the cover and to my surprise, I saw a real-life bunny! The little bunny was of course really petrified at the sight of so many people crowding around it. My friends must look like monsters to the poor bunny.

All those tricks took about 1 and a half hour to finish. After that, Papa brought out my cake. It was a blue-coloured, two-tiered cake with polka dots at the bottom layer and stripes at the top layer. My name was on the wonderful cake. Many of my friends had cameras too! They took pictures of my birthday cake. After we lighted the candles, we sang the "Happy birthday song". I grinned from ear to ear and blew out the candles with all my might.

While aunty cut the cake, my friends and I had a photo taking session with the animals that the magician brought. I put the cute bunny on my lap, the white dove on my head and the yellow canary on my shoulder.

After eating the cake, my friends left. But the party did not end yet! Two of my closest friends, Elizabeth and Rachael, came to my house for a while. First, we played with my sister's cooking toys. Then, when Elizabeth left, Rachael and I went to play with the photo booth on mummy's computer. We pulled funny faces and tried different effects. When Rachael left, I did the best thing of a birthday - unwrapping my presents! Most of my friends gave me stickers as they all know my hobby is collecting stickers. It was an exhausting day but unforgettable.

Fun Day With Friends

30 January 2011 was a day full of fun activities. In the morning, I went to my best friend's birthday party at Tott. We made delicious chocolate chip cookies in all kinds of shapes and sizes. There was a small playground at Tott too. Rachael bought a rainbow pinata. We snatched the yummy sweets. I took many sweets. Rachael had an enormous ice-cream cake. Rachael, Elizabeth and me ate the cake and chatted together.

After we finished the cake, we went to play in the little, tiny playground for kids 2-6 years old. We did not care about the rules of the playground, and climbed up and down like mischievous monkeys!

Soon, Mummy, Papa and Little Bee came. Little Bee played in the playground for a while, while Mummy chatted with other mummies. Papa went home to take something.

When Papa came to fetch us back, it was raining cats and dogs. We ate our brunch there. After we ate our brunch, we went home and tidied our house.

Andrea and gang were coming to our house at night! When they came to our house, we played with Little Bee's "Playcorn" game. It was very fun. Then we played Wii games. We played Tennis, Baseball, Bowling and Ping Pong on Wii Sports. We played iPhone games together.

Everyone was amazed by our pet octopus. Everybody crowded around the octopus tank when Papa fed the octopus. The octopus was scared by so many people, and everyone only saw one tentacle :(

Around 10.30pm, they all went home.
